Nomndeni Mdakhi is a marketing entrepreneur hailing from the quaint town of Newcastle in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. Moving to Johannesburg in 2001 to pursue higher education at the University of Johannesburg, she earned her Diploma in Marketing Management. In 2011, she identified a niche in strategically enhancing entertainers’ personal brands and fostering collaborative opportunities with corporations, leading her to establish EDITS COMMUNICATIONS. This creative agency specializes in assisting brands targeting youth and females, adeptly delivering key messages and fostering connections with these demographics.

With a keen understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape, Mdakhi recognized the importance of fostering a community for aspiring and established entrepreneurs to exchange insights and experiences. Thus, in 2016, she founded EDITS TALKS, a platform offering invaluable resources and networking opportunities through storytelling and social listening.

Responding to the needs of working women seeking connection and professional growth, Mdakhi rebranded the platform in 2018 as AGENDA WOMEN. It now serves as both an online platform and hosts offline events tailored to empowering women both personally and professionally.

Her dedication to empowering Africa’s future leaders led her to join the board of LEAD Africa, a New York-based NGO focused on providing quality education and sports opportunities. In this role, Mdakhi contributes her expertise in strategic brand positioning and communications.
