About

Ms. Roswitha Natasha Katjipu

known as ‘’Rose’’ to many, joined NDTC in 2003 as a production trainee sorter and has advanced through various departments since then. In 2007 she was seconded to London to the Sales and Marketing division of DTC UK, to train as a Key Account Manager, supporting the Belgium and India client base at the time.


Upon her return to Namibia in 2008, she became an integral team member of the Sales and Beneficiation Function of NDTC where she supported the selection process of the new client selection process at the time and has been managing the U.S and Belgium portfolio of NDTC Sightholders since then, prior to joining De Beers Global Sightholder Sales in Botswana in 2018 where she was assigned to oversee the Israel Desk. A task she has industriously executed with excellence. As a seasoned Key Account Manager with noteworthy international dimensions, she has been an integral team member of the global sales team. The role of Key Account Manager and immense wealth of extensive knowledge and experience obtained over the years enabled her and prepared her thoroughly for the leadership role as the Senior Manager for Sales and Beneficiation at NDTC. A role in which she oversees the strategic execution for downstream beneficiation activities to the Sales and Beneficiation team in Namibia. She serves as a member of the Executive Committee, helping set the future direction and strategies of NDTC and takes line management responsibility for execution.



Works

In this role she provides strategic guidance to the Sales and Beneficiation function and team and lead the implementation of modifications relating to changing market conditions, change in information requirements and new service and product offerings to retain and attract new customers. She provides leadership to ensure people and organisation capabilities are in place to execute the commercial strategy by managing workload, the team and stakeholders. She is also responsible for stakeholder engagement with Government Diamond Office (GDO) and Namibia based stakeholders to facilitate local business development and initiative generation.

Her involvement with the diamond industry has always been one she has valued and held most dearly. She has thoroughly enjoyed being able to pursue her hidden passion for gems, minerals and most importantly Fine Jewellery. Roswitha feels greatly privileged to have taken over the reigns from her predecessor and equally looks forward to the challenge with courage and determination. She has always been undeniably committed to her career, education and awareness of the natural diamond trade. Her academic background spans across Namibia, South Africa and U.K. She holds the below qualifications: Master’s in Business Leadership – Corporate Strategy – Unisa SBL Graduate School of Business Leadership. Diamond Professional Graduate Leicester University U.K – a program that developed competencies and skills sets that can be used across the diamond business and to complement other programmes. Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources Management University of Namibia Programme for Management Excellence – Gordon Institute of Business Science University of Pretoria, in collaboration with Anglo
