Kwame is a Technology expert with 30+ years’ experience and expertise in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Technology focussing on Africa.


He is a Telecommunications Executive calibre with great leadership, strategic visionary, management, implementation and consultancy skills and able to deliver board level mandates for companies and governments on services and solutions that are fit for purpose in the areas of Open Gateway, Next Generation (4G/5G), Cloud Computing, Smart Cities, Robotics, Digitization, Internet of Things (IoT), Connectivity (Mobile Voice, Fixed Voice and Fixed Data solutions)



Works

He has vast exposure to a broad range of industry drivers in maximizing growth and profitability for companies and with governments he focuses on social impactable programmes in Agriculture, Health and Education sectors amongst others. He was the Managing Director from 2016-2020 for Vodacom Rest of Africa (22+ countries) at Vodacom. Previously, He has operated up to board level for major multinational corporations such as Vodafone/Vodacom, Cable & Wireless, Fujitsu, IBM on a number of high profile projects.

He holds a BSc in Mathematics, Statistics and Computing from Queen Mary and Westfield College (University of London) and an MSc in Applied Computing from University of Portsmouth, UK. He is currently pursuing a PhD in African Studies focussing on Akan Cultural Appreciation and its relevance to the modern world.

Kwame was the Chairman for the World Bank $40M Grant for the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Ghana and oversaw the disbursement of grants/funding to several organisations within the Tourism sector of Ghana. Kwame is an avid single handicap golfer and a former President of the Professional Golfers’ Association of Ghana. In his spare time enjoys reading on world historical figures, traditions and cultures.
