Dr Bada Akintunde-Johnson

Dr. Bada Akintunde-Johnson is the Country Manager for Paramount Africa and is a member of the Africa Executive leadership team for the company that owns MTV Base, Nickelodeon, BET, Comedy Central, Paramount pictures, B.E.T awards, the VMAs and Mtv Africa Music awards.


Before now, he worked in advertising, building a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most awarded marketing communications and creative professionals while at TBWA, Centrespread FCB and SO&U Saatchi. He was also Creative Manager at Hitv Limited, Nigeria’s biggest ever indigenous pay-tv company.



Works

He started his career at Galaxy tv and continues to be a popular and respected Sports media personality featuring on both live and recorded programming of prime international football competitions and shows. Bada co-owns a talent management company Peaceville Africa, which has managed or still manages stars such as Runtown, Vector, Dija, Crayon, Lamboghini, Firefly among others. He also runs Peaceville Foundation, which for over 10 years has been identifying young talent and developing them through a secondary school focused music initiative.

He is co-founder of Africa Creative Market, an empowerment program which converges creative professionals from Africa and abroad for a week in Lagos yearly. ACM facilitates networking and collaborating opportunities aimed at accelerating the growth of the local creative economy. He is also a trainer and mentor with the United States government program, the Academy for women entrepreneurs.
